Ramble Time

Hello everyone. It’s Ema and Kikyo time. I know that this is a very odd thing to do given these are two new rookies to the pro wrestling business, but I did say that I was going to do as much of their singles matches as I can. Unless they have big title opportunities or I’m gonna be very lazy to not do those special occasions. You can call this, the  儛島エマ&古沢稀杏ファーストロード (Ema Maishima & Kikyo Furusawa First Road) and it is take on 棚橋弘至 ファイナルロード (Hiroshi Tanahashi Final Road). I am reading too much into this, but I do need an intro for this article if I have to be honest. I know that you can see this as very excessive especially since it hasn’t been a full year yet. And speaking of a full year, I have to remind you that I will be doing an article on both of them once we reach May - June 2026 which ironically is around the same time that Grand Auto Theft VI will be released. So you know where my priorities will be, because I am not spending money on a new game which is always the most expensive thing on demand.

So I have been following both Ema Maishima and Kikyo Furusawa for a while. I don't have time to watch all their matches, but I do watch them to check in to see how they're doing. So far, so good. I don’t expect too much out of these rookies, because they are putting their body on the line for our enjoyment while my bones would crack from just falling on a couch. If you noticed in these past two matches about them, they are very similar with obviously their differences. Just read the DTC I and DTC II to see exactly what I mean. It’s not really an issue so I can leave it out in the ether. So, how did the third singles meeting between Ema Maishima and Kikyo Furusawa go? Well, my friends. Let’s take a walk.

Match Time

With that being said, in front of 239 fans from the Kanda Myojin Hall in Tokyo. In the opening bout, it’s Ema Maishima vs Kikyo Furusawa for the third time. Let’s roll with it.

The match kicks off with a collar and elbow tie up. They both took an aggressive approach as they started tussling which ended up with Furusawa pushing Ema against the ropes. Both of them were doing standing switches to strike each other with Ema getting the most of the strike rate. Ema ran to the ropes to charge up her dropkick attack, but Furusawa caught her by surprise with a dropkick. She continued the onslaught as she kept the dropkicks coming with each one from all four sides of the ring. After the failed pin attempt, Furusawa escaped from Ema’s bodyslam attempt and dropkicked her in the left leg. That was a way for her to transition into the Ankle Lock, but Ema quickly rolled out… only to get dropkicked by Furusawa again. I won’t lie to you, I really chuckled whenever I see this in wrestling sometimes. That was also a two count, so Furusawa has Ema in a chin lock. Once they were both on their feet, Furusawa picked up Ema and slammed her down with a bodyslam. That was only for the count of two.

When it seemed like Furusawa was going to rebound from the ropes for a lariat, Ema caught her by surprise with a dropkick. Ema continued her flurry with another dropkick for a two count and applied Boston Crab on Furusawa shortly afterwards. Ema switched her focus to one leg which is the same tactic she used to win the last match, but this time, Furusawa was able to get to the ropes. Ema tried to go for her suplex, but Furusawa got out of it. Furusawa ducked under the lariat and went for the Cartwheel Tierras. Ema actually countered that by pushing her legs off her and followed up with a running dropkick from rebounding off the ropes for a nearfall. As they both stood on a vertical base, Ema caught her kick to switch into that half Gory Special submission on one knee that she had done before. You know, that picture from the article about the first singles match. She used that to switch back into the Boston Crab once again. When Ema realised Furusawa was close to the ropes, she dragged out to the centre of the ring. That idea turned into an opportunity for Furusawa as she used that to twist her body to get into a Victory Roll for a nearfall.

When they both got onto their feet, Furusawa ducked and managed to drop toe hold her into the Ankle Lock. Furusawa switched into her knee bar version of the Ankle Lock to apply as much pressure on Ema as possible. Ema was complementing whether to give up or not, but managed to reach out to grab the rope. Furusawa continued to focus on the left leg as she wrapped Ema’s limb on the rope and followed up with a running dropkick to the leg. Furusawa tried to lift her up for a big move, but Ema got out of it before anything happened. Ema blocked off her lariat attempt and hit 2 consecutive suplexes on her for another nearfall. When Ema picked her up, Furusawa immediately connected with an Enzigiri for another nearfall. Furusawa pulled off the unexpected as she had Ema in the cravat and switched into the Navarro Death Roll. That definitely surprised me and when Kikyo realised that Ema was close to the ropes, she pulled her back while keeping the hold to continue the submission. Kikyo wrenched back the hold further and Ema wasn’t able to handle it anymore so she tapped out. This means that Kikyo Furusawa is your victor.

UPDATED Record: 1 - 0 - 1 (Both wrestlers have the same record)

What a really solid display between them and an interesting contrast to the first two singles matches. It was more aggressive than the previous bouts as both were trying to submit each other. Like you can go look at the previous two matches or read them on the SickosClub.com at The Clubhouse and then look at this one. It was a big difference sprinkled with similar actions that were done before. So that concludes the NEW BLOOD saga as of now because the Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League is happening and the next NEW BLOOD show is scheduled around Christmas time.

Post Ramble

As much as I love this Dynamic Thunder Connection, I’m sure you want me to write about more unique matches or different kinds of matches that focus on new people. But that is the problem I have at the moment. I am really running out of material to write about. I did have one big project that was going to be focused on Mina Shirakawa matches from Ring Of Honor, but I completely scrapped for overdoing it and completely self-hating it much like the big Hologram project in which I also scrapped entirely for the same reason.

I do have one or two article ideas to pump out and one of them involves Ema Maishima and Kikyo Furusawa again, but in a different category than the singles matches you’ve seen so far. The other idea involves Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling which was partly scrapped, luckily I am keeping one of the championship trilogy matches that were in the original. That being the Princess Of Princess, Princess Tag Team and International Princess Championships respectively. Or another part of the idea was a focus article on Wakana Uehara, the woman that I basically became a fan of. I mean look at my X and BlueSky Feeds. Regardless, I might have ideas that are very minimal, it can make a difference.
