Jon Moxley: Feminist?
Just a theory: When Toni addressed Jon last night, I was reminded of something that I don't think gets mentioned enough about with his current run with The Death Riders: His relationship with women.
Jon doesn't view Marina as subservient, he respects her & views her as an equal. When Kris Statlander listened to his advice, became a champion & stood up to him, he smiled.
When Marina decided to tag with Megan Bayne, he was there & was excited for her. Even when he attacked Willow, it wasn't done from a sexist, misogynist place. He saw her as an opponent. Like anyone else. She can get it, just like a man could.
His current losing streak may be, in a weird way, because of how much it's affecting Renee. Wrestledream had a Zero Hour panel that I watched the other morning & Renee was hurt & frustrated with Jon's actions before the match with Darby & how that could affect him with their daughter, not being able to be there for her in the future.
Look at Jon's actions since that match. Other than Blood & Guts, he has calmed down a little. He surprisingly did commentary on Collision, & complimented the MxM Collection for being themselves. Jon Moxley complimented that group. I didn't laugh when he said it. I was glad he said it. They are necessary & entertaining.
I could be looking more into this, that just how I am. But, I couldn't dismiss Toni addressing Jon directly. I've felt this way for a while & that, for me, sort of validated it. It's not preachy, it's just his actions that's made AEW much better.
