Ramble Time

Hello everyone, it’s show time. The title is a bit grim by SickosClub standards, but the higher-ups discovered another website which is using the same name with a small slight difference. They just took the “S” out, if you can catch my drift. And no, it’s not sexual innuendo of some kind. I’m not “Timeless” Toni Storm, I’m just a dude who is probably never escaping the feminist allegations given to my recent track record.

Anyway, so… this is a very weird topic to bring back for the sake of this, because I didn’t think that I would need this to explain the context. On July 25th, my first volume of WrestleVerse dropped and… I… don’t know how to feel about it. I don’t look back on that article fondly. I pointed out a lot of things in other articles following that. I don’t even want to mention it here because I genuinely don’t like it at all. But why am I mentioning the volume at all? Simple. It kind of relates to this one.

So we are going to touch on Ober Eats (Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara) versus Hot Shot (Yuna Manase & Toga) for the Princess Tag Team Championships at Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling’s Addition Attack event. If the first two names looked familiar, I did write about Ober Eats before in the volume where I touched on their singles match from Major League Wrestling (MLW). The newest ones are Yuna Manase and Toga. In order to explain why I am covering this match in particular, let’s start from the very beginning.

The Origins

This is a very funny one but let’s roll with it. I remember being on https://bsky.app. And if you know anything about being on the apps, interactions with wrestlers are very minimal. Well it depends on how you find these wrestlers who are on there, but it’s still minimal from my point of view. So as I was going through feeds, I discovered a wrestler on the platform. Her name is Wakana Uehara. I will touch on her in a second, but it is nice seeing a wrestler post constantly on the app yet alone a joshi wrestler. I suddenly turned into a fan without realising that I became a fan. My self-esteem is still in the gutter and now it’s in a deep abyss, but hey, I get to see someone flourish. Also fun fact, I ironically joined BlueSky the same day she did, which was Nov 17, 2024. I am very shocked that I discovered that fact and I feel weird about it actually because I saw her in 2025. And also the fact it took until now to figure out is very odd.

Anyway, on the road to the Battle Of The Idols between Wakana Uehara and Yuki Kamifuku at MLW, TJPW would announce a show to stream for FREE on YouTube. That would be the Spring show in Aichi on June 1st. I had never watched a Tokyo Joshi Pro show at that point and was actually excited. Until:

I won’t lie, I was a very very sad panda that day. I did, however, watch the eventual Uehara and Kamifuku, but I was still sad from that day. Like it really sucked the enthusiasm I had, but we move forward.

Backgrounds

Since I am doing backgrounds, I am going to do a bit of a copy paste job with the backgrounds of the Ober Eats while including new backgrounds for the Hot Shot duo. Obviously, this is going to be different to the WrestleVerse version in the fact that everything has changed since I wrote WrestleVerse in July and more information has come out which does make my life easier. So my friends, let’s roll with it shall we?

Ober Eats

Yuki Kamifuku (Princess Tag Team Champion)

I didn’t even know who Yuki Kamifuku was until I started researching for WrestleVerse. And turns out, there is loads of information that I completely left out. So I might have more information to add on to it.

Yuki Kamifuku was born on Feb 20, 1993 in Fujisawa, a city in the Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan. As a teenager, she lived in the United States as her father found work in the state of Ohio. In an interview with Encount, Kamifuku talked about the struggle of making friends in junior high school (or middle school): [Translation: @meraWRESTLING on X]

“I couldn’t speak English to begin with, and there was racism just for being Asian. During the time I couldn’t speak English, I was treated as if I had no will. I was treated as less than air for a little over a year, and it wasn’t until I was able to speak a little English that my existence was finally acknowledged… The few friends I made were Filipino and Hispanic, so it was quite a multinational group.”

  • Yuki Kamifuku

That is fucked up thing to go through and I am glad she was able to have made some friends despite that. Shoutout to the Hispanic and Filipinos.

Before her career in the squared circle, Kamiyu was a supermodel. She was the runner-up in the Miss Toyo University contest. She also featured frequently in gravure spreads on weekly magazines, even releasing a photobook titled, Kyakuzai (Leg Crime). Gravure in the context of Japanese Pop Culture, are models who posed in provocative swimsuit and lingerie photographs for photobooks and magazines that are marketed towards men. It’s been a thing for a long time in the world of Joshi. Even your favourite Joshi wrestler has most likely done gravure or is still doing that.

But whatever. Kamifuku would debut in the year of 2017 at TJPW’s Brand New Wrestling ~ The Beginning Of A New Era event. She teamed with Yuna Manase in a losing effort against Mizuki & Nonoko. It is funny that Yuna Manase is her tag partner in her first match and ironically, Kamiyu would fall to Manase in her first ever singles match.  A month later on Sep 23, 2017, she would debut for DDT Pro-Wrestling at *check notes* DDT Tokyo Game Show 2017 4Gamer.net x DDT Pro-Wrestling - Day 3 show and yes, that was a mouthful. She teamed up with Miyu Yamashita in a losing effort against Rika Tatsumi and Yuu. Ever since Yuki started competing in the Tokyo Princess Cup in 2019, she has had a trend of not being able to reach the semifinals. (I actually got the information completely wrong on the WrestleVerse version so please forgive me.) That trend would end in 2023 where she not only reached the Semis, but actually made it to the Finals. She would be the runner-up to eventual tournament winner, Miyu Yamashita.

In 2018, Kamiyu had some matches that I would like to point out. Back in DDT, she wrestled at *check notes again* DDT Street Wrestling In Kanagawa - Danshoku Dino City Council Member!? and I am unsure if that has anything to do with politics, so I’ll leave it at that. She teamed up with Nodoka-Oneesan in a losing effort against Miyu Yamashita and Yuka Sakazaki. She also wrestled at DDT’s Tokyo Idol Festival in Falls Count Anywhere Three Way match as she teamed up with our “Superhero” Hyper Misao & Makoto Oishi against Danshoku Dino & Up Up Girls [Hikari (Hikari Noa), Hinano, Miu (Miu Watanabe) & Raku] and Sanshiro Takagi, Akari Saho, Aya Kajishima & Mayu Yoshikawa in a losing effort. At DDT’s Ryogoku Peter Pan 2018 ~ Fall Wrestling Culture Festival ~, Kamiyu wrestled in a Dark Match as she teamed with Mina Shirakwa and Miyu Yamashita in a losing effort against Mizuki and MiraClians (Shoko Nakajima & Yuka Sakazaki). And the Final match to touch on in 2018 was a Handicap match in Tokyo Joshi Pro. Not just any handicap match, but a *check notes* Best Three Out Of Five Falls 18 On One Handicap match at TJPW’s 5th

Anniversary Shin-Kiba Tour 2018 Autumn One. She was part of the 18 as she teamed with (I swear, why did I decide to torture myself) Hikari (Hikari Noa), Hinano, Hyper Misao, Maki Ito (Maki Itoh), Miu (Miu Watanabe), Miyu Yamashita, Mizuki, Nodoka Tenma, Raku, Reika Saiki, Sakisama (Saki Akai), Shoko Nakajima, Tetsuya Koda, Yuka Sakazaki, Yuki Aino, Yuna Manase and Yuu. Oh god. They faced Azusa Takigama and won by 3 falls to 0.

In 2019 and back in DDT, she wrestled at the DDT Campsite Pro Wrestling ~ The Promised Nature Land ~ event and given the name, it took place on a literal campsite in Yamanashi. I wish I was making this up. It was a *check notes* Falls Count Anywhere Five Way Trios match as Yuki teamed up with Yuna Manase and Mina Shirakawa against FUMA, Isami Kodaka & Trans Am, and Antonio Honda, HARSHIMA & Makoto Oishi, and Keisuke Ishii, Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari, and 37KAMINA (Konosuke Takeshita, MAO & Yuki Ueno). That match was 83 minutes and to be fair, it was a 2 match card. At DDT Ultimate Party, Kamiyu captured the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship in a Gauntlet Battle Royal… and lost it within the match. How was that possible? Simple. DDT.

This wouldn’t be the only title in her achievements as a year later, she became the International Princess Champion after winning a tournament for the vacant title. She went on to have a long reign with 3 defenses. In 2022, Kamifuku debuted overseas in Malaysia for APAC Wrestling. 2023 would be an interesting year as in November, Kamiyu would capture the SPW Queen Of Asia Championship from Alexis Lee at Singapore Pro Wrestling’s Viva La Lucha event. In 2024, Yuki Kamifuku became the VPW Women’s Champion of Vietnam Pro Wrestling as she was holding the SPW Queen Of Asia title. Ironically, she defeated Alexis Lee. She would be dubbed as the Two-Crown Asian Queen as she was a double champion for one year. She would eventually lose them as she lost the VPW Women’s Title to AEW/ROH wrestler Viva Van and the SPW Queen Of Asia Title to… Alexis Lee. It’s kinda funny I’m not gonna lie.

In 2025, she formed a tag team with Wakana Uehara called Ober Eats. In 2023, they would have their first match together in an Eight Woman Tag Team match. Yuki teamed with Uehara, Maki Ito (Maki Itoh) and Toga against the Up Up Girls (Hikari Noa, Miu Watanabe, Raku & Shino Suzuki). They didn’t consistently team together until the 2025 Futari Wa Princess Max Heart Tournament, which is a single elimination tag team tournament and continued teaming afterwards. During WrestleMania 41 Week in Las Vegas, TJPW held a live show on April 18th which saw Ober Eats challenge Kyoraku Kyomei (Hyper Misao & MLW Women’s World Featherweight Champion Shoko Nakajima) for the Princess Tag Team Titles. They lost, but their WrestleMania Week Trip didn't end on a downer as Kamiyu & Uehara defeated Brooke Havok & Sandra Moore the next night on the GCW x DDT x TJPW show.

In June, Yuki Kamifuku would have (I think) her first match in the United States. It would happen at MLW’s Summer Of The Beasts event as she faced off against her tag team partner, Wakana Uehara and came out on top. On Sep 13th at MLW Fightland, Kamifuku would challenge Shoko Nakajima for the top prize for women in the company, MLW Women’s World Featherweight Championship. Shoko retained the title in their bout. 7 days later at Wrestle Princess, Ober Eats defeated Kyoraku Kyomei (Hyper Misao & Shoko Nakajima) to capture the Princess Tag Team Championships. So basically Shoko got struck by Karma. Jokes aside, it is funny once you really think about it.

Wakana Uehara (Princess Tag Team Champion)

(Oh boy. Here we go. Honestly I am going to spend all my energy into these so enjoy my mind numbing mess.)

Wakana Uehara was born on May 13, 1996 in the Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan. There was a lot of information I missed from my WrestleVerse version that now I have to start this almost from scratch much like Kamiyu. The difference is that I give like 67% more information than I did, so bare with me please. Prior to the career she has now, Uehara was in the entertainment industry as a Tarento. A Tarento, which is derived from the English word talent, are celebrities who regularly appear in mass media, especially on variety shows. In other words, she was a television personality or still is given she does appearances here and there (and she is a pro wrestler). Given how I discovered her, it makes a lot of sense that she was in the field.

In the year of  2013, Uehara participated in the CanCam’s New Generation Model Audition. CanCam is a monthly fashion magazine that is published by Shogakukan Inc. The name itself derives from “I Can Campus” with the reason being that girls who read it are expected to become “campus leaders”. I know that I’m going a bit off topic when I say this, but I don’t understand this particular reasoning. Maybe it’s because I am not Japanese at all nor a woman, but it’s still strange. However, let’s get back to the swing of things. Wakana Uehara would be one of the 100 semi-finalists out of 21,608. That is a lot of people applying to this, so maybe I actually should be determined to know phrases. In 2014, Uehara would be scouted by a film staff member from One Eight Promotion Ltd and her entertainment career began from there.

On June 2, 2018, Uehara would be part of an Idol group called 99999 (Quintex). She debuted as the center girl of the group at the OTONOVA Grand Prix Final in 2018. On November 14th, 99999 and TOYZ, which is another Idol group, merged together to form Advance Arc Harmony. There is not much information I go through from there so let’s move on to the wrestling side of things.

(Also I forgot to mention, her theme song, Keep My Heart Burning was written and sung by herself. There is both a Japanese and English version of the song. And after listening to both of them again, they are not bad at all. It might be up your alley and I do commend the English version because it is a different language to Japanese.)

In 2022, Wakana Uehara would join the Yume Pro-Wrestling (Dream On The Ring) project in May of 2022. Yume Pro-Wrestling or Dream On The Ring is a project within Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling that focuses on individuals aspiring to become professional wrestlers, particularly those from idol backgrounds. The format of the project held exhibition matches and the winner would be determined by the vote of the audience as who gets to debut officially. Three people did the trials which included Uehara and two other people named Risako and Himari Manaka. I know you might be thinking, isn’t this just their professional wrestling debuts? Technically Yes, but No. It seems more like a final exam much like the Pro Wrestling Dojos in Puroresu and if you pass, the real challenge begins as you become an official professional wrestler. Wakana Uehara would win this contest with 20 points after her exhibition match against MLW Women’s World Featherweight Champion Shoko Nakajima. Himari Manaka would gain 13 points after hers against Miyu Yamashita and Risako would also gain 13 points.

As Uehara became official, she made her Pro Wrestling debut on January 4th 2023 in one of the most ironic venues in Pro Wrestling, Korakuen Hall. She teamed up with Arisu Endo in a losing effort against Juria Nagano & Moka Miyamoto. Her first victory came on the 4th Day of the Futari Wa Max Heart Tournament where defeated HIMAWARI. I am going to include some matches here like I did Kamiyu, so let’s roll. On Saki Akai’s Last TJPW Appearance, Uehara was involved in a 23 On One Handicap match teaming up with *sigh* *checks notes* Arisu Endo, Haru Kazashiro, Hikari Noa, HIMAWARI, Hyper Misao, Kaya Toribami, Mahiro Kiryu, Miu Watanabe, Miyu Yamashita, Mizuki, Moka Miyamoto, Nao Kakuta, Pom Harajuku, Raku, Rika Tatsumi, Runa Okubo, Shino Suzuki, Suzume, Toga, Yuka Sakazaki, Yuki Aino and Yuki Kamifuku against Saki Akai and it ends in 6 minutes. Don’t ask me why. Uehara would make her debut for DDT at their Ultimate Party event where she teamed up with Daisy Monkey (Arisu Endo & Suzume) in a losing effort against Yuki Arai, Moka Miyamoto & Shino Suzuki. It would be positive for Uehara following this as she went on to win that year’s Next Generation Tournament. In a bit of a full circle moment, she won in the same building she debuted in.

In 2024, Wakana Uehara would have her toughest test against Aja Kong. Yes. Your eyes aren’t deceiving you. She faced AJA. KONG… and lost. She would team up with Yuki Arai in that year’s Futari Wa Max Heart Tournament. They ended in the Semis as they were beaten by Hakuchumu (Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi). That year, Uehara was competing in the annual Tokyo Princess Cup, where she made it to the Second Round before losing to Yuki Arai. In that year’s Next Generation Tournament, Wakana entered as the previous year’s winner and the field expanded. However, Uehara lost in the Semi Finals to Haru Kazashiro. In between the tournament, Uehara would do her first match in America. It was part of a crossover show with DEFY Wrestling, DDT Pro-Wrestling & Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling called DEFY x TJPW x DDT Trianguler DTD. She teamed with Mizuki in a losing effort against Miu Watanabe and Suzume. She entered the Princess Rumble at TJPW’s Year-End Party 2024, which was won by Miu Watanabe.

In 2025, she formed a tag team with Wakana Uehara called Ober Eats. In 2023, they would have their first match together in an Eight Woman Tag Team match. Wakana Uehara would enter this year’s Tokyo Princess Cup after getting through the qualifiers.

In between that, Uehara flew back to America for the MLW singles match against Yuki Kamifuku. I didn’t mention this in my Yuki breakdown, this was their 4th singles match against each other and the first one overseas. Kamifuku defeated Uehara and went on to get through the Cup qualifiers, so there is a positive at least. I was going to break the 27 on One Handicap match she was involved in, but since it’s very late as I am doing all this, my body is screaming to go to bed, so I skip that. However, there are three TJPW events that occurred in the United States during the week of AEW All In Texas. Two Houston shows, One Dallas show. On the first show, Wakana Uehara lost to Miu Watanabe. On the second show, Wakana Uehara defeated Shino Suzuki. On the last show, she teamed with Kamiyu in a losing effort against Daisy Monkey (Arisu Endo & Suzume). Much like last year, Uehara made it to the Second Round and was eliminated by… Yuki Arai… Wait a minute?

At this year’s Wrestle Princess, Ober Eats defeated Kyoraku Kyomei (Hyper Misao & Shoko Nakajima) to capture the Princess Tag Team Championships. And that is all for now.

Hot Shot

Yuna Manase [Ganbare Pro Wrestling]

Ganbare Pro Wrestling. I won’t lie, I never thought that I would have to mention this promotion, but here we go. Ganbare☆Pro-Wrestling (often called GanPro) is a wrestling promotion that has a lot of interesting history in it. Much like TJPW, GanPro started out under the DDT Pro-Wrestling banner as it was founded in 2013 by Ken Ohka. It was designed to capture the indie spirit of independent promotions in Japan or you can say about independent promotions around the world. In 2016, GanPro would be part of the DDT Universe streaming service as it is one of the sub-brands under DDT. DDT Universe is known today as Wrestle Universe which was a smart business move to rebrand to that specific name and it has a deep archive. In 2020, GanPro would be under CyberFight, a subsidiary of CyberAgent which is a digital media advertising company that owns both DDT Pro-Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH and owned Wrestle Universe.

In 2023 they started a women's division called Ganbare Joshi or GanJo which has Yuna Manase as the central part of. These GanJo shows would be purely women’s wrestling which is different from the men’s/mixed matches they do. They still do these shows after splitting from CyberFight to become an independent promotion in 2024. Oh I forgot to mention the titles they have. GanPro only has two titles: Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Championship and Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Championship. Now that I have explained GanPro, it’s time to talk about Yuna Manase.

Yuna Manase was born on Nov 11, 1987 in the Chiba Prefecture of Japan. During her days as a student, she won the Kanto tournament in rhythmic gymnastics which is always going to make me jealous given my uncoordinated body. She later worked as a gravure model and I’ve explained this already, so let’s move on. She also works as a plus-size model which I didn’t know was a thing, so that’s… actually kinda cool. I honestly never knew that was a thing which is probably why I said cool, but if you are happy, what can I say.

You’ll be quite surprised to know that Yuna Manase actually started in STARDOM. Her first match happened on the first day of the Season 15 New Year Stars tour in 2014. She would be defeated by Kairi Hojo, who is better known as Kairi Sane in WWE. Manase would spend her first year in STARDOM, mostly being the person who looked up at the lights in singles with only winning two matches. In 2015, Yuna Manase beat Reo Hazuki at the Queen’s Shout show in her last STARDOM match up to that point. However, the Queen’s Shout show is infamous for something else as it was the night of the Act Yasukawa and Yoshiko incident. I won’t talk about it here but I do recommend researching for yourself to find out more. Manase would resign from the promotion.

From 2015 to 2016, Manase would spend her time in the promotion, Actwres Girl’Z or AWG for short. An all-women’s promotion which has always intrigued me and I never found the place for viewing it. (Future Zero here, I found the site for viewing their content, so I just need to buy the subscription when I start getting some good stuff.) Manase would be part of the first AWG show called Prologue. She teamed with her student Saori Anou in a winning effort against Kaori Kanamura & another one of her students Natsumi Maki (aka Natsupoi). She did compete in REINA and Wrestle-1 during her time in the promotion before resigning from AWG in late 2016.

In March of 2017, Manase would debut for Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling. She would make her debut on At This Time, Get Excited In Nerima! show where she defeated Nodoka-Oneesan. Manase would enter that year’s Tokyo Princess Cup where she was knocked out by Rika Tatsumi in the first round. Manase would make her debut for DDT in a dark match at that year’s Peter Pan as one of many contenders for the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship. Manase would compete in a tournament to crown the first ever TOKYO Princess Tag Team Champions. Her partner in the tourney was Marika Kobashi… No Relation. The tournament would be won by MiraClians (Shoko Nakajima & Yuka Sakazaki) while Manase & Kobashi got eliminated by that year’s finalists, Maho Kurone and Rika Tatsumi.

2018 would be mostly a Tokyo Joshi Pro and Dramatic Dream Team year for Manase. They are opportunities like when she challenged Miyu Yamashita for the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Championship, but was unsuccessful in capturing the title. She got eliminated in the First Round of the Tokyo Princess Cup. She teamed up with Hinano in the Yeah! Metcha Tag Tournament… only to lose in the First Round to Kyoraku Kyomei (Hyper Misao & Shoko Nakajima). She did win the Queen Of U.S.A. match against Hyper Misao, so it’s not all unsuccessful results. But there are two matches I want to point out. In DDT at their YaroZ Part 7 show, she faced off against Antonio Honda and Ryuichi Sekine in a… Boob Flag Death match. I wish I was making this up, but it’s real. She won (Thank God). Another one is a Two Count bout against Yuka Sakazaki at TJPW Fan Club Show in Saitama.

2019 would be an interesting year as Manase made her debut for Ganbare Pro. This one is a bit to explain, but let’s roll with it. Her first show was the DDT Ganbare Pro Keisuke Ishii Produce Momoiro Kneel Kick 2019 and she did two bouts on that show which were a tag match and one of many participants in the 18 On One Handicap Elimination match in the main event. However, that wasn’t the end of it as she competed on another show called DDT Ganbare Pro Potchari Joshi Pro Wrestling - Wrestle & Pocha in a singles bout against Yumehito Imanari. That all happened on the same day. Manase would have some strides as she made it to the Final of that year’s Tokyo Princess Cup, but lost to Mizuki. This would also be the year where she won her first championship in her career as she beat her student Natsumi Maki (Natsupoi) to capture the International Princess Championship.

2020 would be a bit of a slow year for obvious reasons, but there is something of note to mention. Manase returned to STARDOM for the first time in 5 years. She teamed with Natsu Sumire in a losing effort to AEW’s Riho and Saya Iida. Also she started doing more GanPro dates compared to last year. 2021 was a Ganbare Pro year as Manase barely did any TJPW dates according to the match logs. She also appeared for ZERO1 and SEAdLINNNG as well. She did do another STARDOM show as she competed in the All-Star Rumble on the 10 Anniversary ~Hinamatsuri All-Star Dream Cinderella~. 2022 was the year where Manase was doing a lot more work as a freelancer, appearing in multiple promotions like Marvelous, Ice Ribbon, etc. In Ice Ribbon, Yuna Manase would capture the International Ribbon Tag Team Championships alongside Totoro Satsuki as BIG DEKAI. This type of schedule still goes on today and I think that is it for Manase as of now.

Toga

This is likely going to be the most self-explanatory background I have done so far.

Toga was born on Feb 27, 2003 in the Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan. She has been a fan of pro wrestling since Elementary school which is where we all fell in love with pro wrestling. She was so obsessed that she attended the shows. She was inspired to enter the world of pro wrestling after Saki Akai had bouts against male wrestlers. That is the most unique reason I have seen, because it’s that specific instead of the wrestler themselves. She joined Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling as one of their rookies and has been there ever since.

Her first match happened on The Night Before Grand Princess show in a losing effort to Miyu Yamashita. She did compete in her first tournament called the Shinagawa Three Woman Festival which was a one night tournament at the Precious Time show. Her and Toyo Mates (Mahito Kiryu & Yuki Kamifuku) lost in the First Round which doesn’t surprise me. Speaking of Saki Akai, Toga would be part of her last TJPW match in that 23 On One Handicap I mentioned before. It is cool that she got to share the ring with the woman who inspired her albeit in a VERY crowd capacity. Toga entered that year’s Next Generation tournament and got eliminated in the Semi Finals by eventual tournament winner, Wakana Uehara.

2024 was a very odd year to research for different reasons. Toga entered the Tokyo Princess Cup and lost in the Second Round to Rika Tatsumi. In the Next Generation Tournament, Toga made it to the Finals, but became the runner-up against Haru Kazashiro. On the TJPW 11th Birthday Show, her and Haru Kazashiro challenged 121000000 (Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh) for the Princess Tag Team Championships and lost that one. At the Year-End Party event, she competed in a 5 on 5 Gauntlet match alongside Arisu Endo, Haru Kazashiro, Moka Miyamoto and Shoko Nakajima in a losing effort to Mizuki, Shino Suzuki, Suzume, Uta Takami and Yoshiko Hasegawa. In 2025, Toga and Haru Kazashiro lost in the second round of the Futari Wa Princess Max Heart Tournament to HIMAWARI and Shino Suzuki. She failed to qualify for this year’s Tokyo Princess Cup after losing to Ivy Steele.

Match Time

So with that being said, in front of 719 fans in one of the most iconic venues in all of pro wrestling, Korakuen Hall. In the semi main events, it’s Ober Eats defending their Princess Tag Team Championships against Hot Shot. Let’s roll with it.

I did like the theme songs both teams have. It was quite fun to listen to and the Ober Eats theme specifically, is a lot better than I expected it to be. I was bopping my head now. So they must’ve done something right. Before we start, I would like to say this. When you look at Yuki Kamifuku in the corner, she is just bouncing up and down which is funny for a number of reasons:

  1. It reminds me of that meme from Dragon Ball where Goku is hopping about.

  2. A personal story of mine. On Halloween Night till the 3rd or 4th day, my phone was frozen. Meaning I couldn’t do anything in my free time except my computer. So I decided to watch those movies that are from TV Show Short apps. And I realised that I have loads of energy I didn’t know I had because I was bouncing around like a kid. Which I kinda am.

Both teams stared at each other before the bell rang. As much as I always place that joke of “it’s Super Serious” which it is. Here, it feels miles more awkward than it is. It’s like one of them said something fucked up and someone else walks in the room and everything is very silent. Anyway, Bouncy Yuki kicks off the tag with Toga. Toga seemed to go for a collar and elbow tie up, but Yuuki just weaved away from it to lean against the ropes. Yuki looked to stop Toga in her tracks with a boot to the face, but Toga caught her foot to push it back down. Toga ducked underneath the big boot until she couldn’t dodge the other incoming one so she got caught. Toga reverses Yuki’s Irish whip to send her across to the ropes and shoulder tackles her down from the rebound. Yuki tripped Toga with her feet to stop her from running off to the ropes. Yuki picks her up and starts dragging her to the red corner, but Toga escapes her grip. And they just stare at each other, which feels a bit awkward much like earlier. The next two tagged in are Yuna Manase and Wakana Uehara. Manase is honestly the funniest person in this and you are gonna see why in this one.

The first thing she does is push Wakana onto the mat. I don’t know why I chuckled, but I actually did. They looked up only for the same outcome to happen, so Wakana decided to go for strikes instead. It seemed to be working as she tried to go for the Snap Suplex, but Manase took that as a “NOPE” and body slammed her to the mat. Toga gets tagged in and immediately goes to knock Yuki off the apron, but Bouncy picks up on that and jumps off herself. Meanwhile Manase traps Wakana within the ropes. Hot Shot double team followed as Manase and Toga took turns doing rope rebound attacks to Wakana with Toga doing her running back elbow while Manase did her lariat. Both women Irish whipped her to the ropes to shoulder tackle her on the rebound. Then Hot Shot followed up with the Hip Toss Senton combination on Wakana for a two count. Toga tagged Manase back in and she started going after the leg. She kept applying pressure as Wakana was crawling to the ropes. When Manase had her in the Muta Lock, Yuki had enough as she got in the ring to kick her off Wakana and went back to tag rope like she didn’t do that in front of the referee. Manase just stepped on Wakana’s back before tagging Toga back in.

Toga keeps control of the wrist as she strikes Wakana until she drops to the mat. When Toga tries to use the rope as a bounce for the Irish whip, Wakana hangs on to stop that. Toga decides to strike her, pulling her to centre as she lifts her up for a potential Fallaway Slam. Wakana escapes from that to cartwheel her way to the ropes and rebound back with a running dropkick. Wakana was finally able to tag in Yuki Kamifuku. Yuki used the rope as a platform to get in and boot Toga in the face. Yuki Irish whips her to the corner and she boots her in the corner. She just waits for Toga to get up to dropkick her back down again for a two count. Yuki picked her up to go for the bodyslam, but Toga lowered her body weight to prevent it. She tried to lift her for the Fallaway Slam, but Yuki escaped it and back heel kicked her in the face. Yuki tried to run to the ropes, only for Toga to stop her by holding her in a waistlock. Yuki back elbowed her way off and booted Toga like she wanted to take her face off. Yuki went for the Fameasser only for Toga to escape and pounce at her with a strike to the face. Manase got the tag and immediately took out Wakana before turning her attention to Yuki. She lifted her up and slammed her down with a Delayed Vertical Suplex. Manase throws Yuki in the corner and follows up with a lariat for a two count. (The pin attempt happened after the lariat in the corner.)

Manase allowed Yuki to strike her multiple times, only for Manase to have her right on her back with a powerful strike. Manase picked her up to go for the Dangerous Backdrop, but Yuki got out of it and applied the Manji-Gatame (Octopus Stretch). Manase got to the middle rope, but Yuki didn’t stop as she ran to the ropes and came back with her boot right back in her face. As she picks her up, Manase pulls a Japanese version of a “Surprise Mothafucka!” and smashes her with a Lariat. As they both are up to a vertical base, Manasse ran to the ropes only for Yuki to cut her off with a big boot before the rebound could occur. Yuki just drops Manase on her head with a brutal Brainbuster. It’s like Manase’s head disappeared from existence, it is that brutal. As Manase was crawling to the corner, Yuki got the tag to Wakana. Wakana immediately went on the offensive and hit the Space Rolling Elbow (Handspring Elbow) in the corner and continued with a running dropkick in the centre followed up with a Jacknife Cover for a nearfall. Wakana went for another running attack, only to be caught by Lariat courtesy of Manase. I won’t lie… that actually made me laugh out loud when I don’t think I should have been laughing. Manase got the tag to Toga.

Toga built up momentum to hit a Rolling Thunder on Wakana which definitely surprised me. I didn’t expect Rob Van Dam to be in the building. After she picks her up, Toga finally hits the Fallaway Slam on Wakana even if it was a two count. Toga was starting to have a Strike Party as she kept doing strikes and even struck Wakana on the rebound after Irish whipping her to the ropes for that to happen. (A bit lazy? Yes, but I needed some breathing room for this, so please bear with me.) Toga Irish whipped her in the corner, but on the charge, Wakana caught her and placed her on the top turnbuckle. That actually was a strategic move as Wakana moved out of the way, so Yuki can run up to boot her in the head. I swear Toga’s head must’ve gotten cuts from this. Yuki got her down to the centre as Wakana ran from the ropes to connect with a dropkick. Ober Eats continued their delivery by Irish whipping Toga to the ropes and followed up with a Double Flapjack for a nearfall. Wakana did the pin attempt as she is the legal person. Manase gets in and just gives Wakana a Lariat. I actually laughed once again. I don’t know why it’s so funny, but it just is. Hot Shot did the tag team move which is very strange. Manase has Wakana in a Firewoman’s Carry as Toga runs to the ropes. Then Toga runs back… to hit Manase with a strike so she can do a… Samoan Drop for another nearfall. This is truly strange.

Toga and Wakana engage in a strike exchange. These are slower, more built up ones that definitely pack a punch. Toga ended it with a strike that made me question my own abilities and will to live past a certain age. Toga seemed to be going for a big move which from my vantage point, looks like a T-Bone Suplex. Wakana got out of it and jumped on her for a submission (I don’t remember what it’s called unfortunately). Toga tried to switch it to a Northern Lights or Overhead Suplex, but Wakana got out by hammering at her back. Wakana sets up and applies the Banana Pillow (Triangle Lancer) on Toga. (I don’t know why it took me till now to realise that some of her move names are based on food… I can be very slow.) She really wrenched it in, but Manase was able to get in the ring and break it up. Then Yuki did the worst backup attack ever. She just kicked Manase once before getting clobbered with a Lariat. I instantly laughed out again. It is so funny for no reason. Yuki fired back with a chop so hard that she was able to hit her trademark Fameasser from the middle rope. That meant Manase was out for a while. Toga prevented a double team from happening. Unfortunately for Toga, Yuki had some special premium feet as her boot went soaring at her head. Toga had enough of the feet so she countered the Soul Food into the Uranage which commentator Haruo Murata pointed at as the “Rock Bottom”. That caught me off guard, but I call it the Toganange just because.

Toga hits another Fallaway Slam onto Wakana and doesn’t even try to pin her. Instead she just tried another one, only for Wakana to get out of it and hit her Snap Suplex for the final nearfall of the bout. Why do I say that? It’s because Wakana hits Toga with the SUSHI TORNADO which is a finisher that I can’t explain for the life of me. Maybe I’ll just put up a picture of it if it can get past protocols. It is like complicated maths. That allowed Wakana to get the 1, 2, 3, meaning that Ober Eats are still your Princess Tag Team Champions.

Post Ramble Time

I would do a post match summary about my thoughts in more great detail, but I am not able to do that due to limitations. I discovered the Additional Attack show on the Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling YouTube Channel. It was during the time where my phone was still frozen. So I discovered the last 3 title matches which was going to be the original idea of the article. The International Princess Title bout was fun as Arisu Endo and Alice Crowley had an interesting take on Power Scales. The Princess Of Princess fight between Miu Watanabe and Yuki Aino was a battle of simplicity and spirit from within.

Ober Eats and Hot Shot had an interesting take on the concept of a mirror match. For those who don’t know what a Mirror Match is, it is where two opponents use identical or nearly identical abilities against one another. It is like facing a reflection of oneself into battle. This match was more of a concept due to the dynamic of both teams. Both teams have the dynamic of an experienced wrestler and a less experienced tag partner. The difference is that all of the wrestlers have different personalities distinct to each other. Well kinda. Yuki Kamifuku has more style to her moves especially since her main weapons are her legs and she does use her arms though, let me make that clear. Wakana Uehara uses her entire body as her athleticism allows her to turn offence into defence and vice versa when needed. Yuna Manase is the best woman in the fight as her lariat is offensive or an out of nowhere counterattack. Toga is more focused on big hits like cocking back those punches. Like honestly, I was watching a video about someone talking about how everyone was throwing nothing, but haymakers in Justice League Unlimited and Batman Beyond. And Toga was the physical embodiment of throwing her back out for high impact maneuvers.

Overall, this match was absolutely hilarious. I recommend it… for the lariats alone. You will chuckle or laugh like a maniac.

More Post Ramble Time

I have mentioned that I have a tough time breaking down any kind of multi person matches and that includes this one in particular. It’s not the first time I have written a tag match in my work as in my 3rd ever article and the first ever sole wrestler focus, I wrote about the BCC vs LIJ trios match from AEW. So how was this match in my breakdown? It didn’t feel like a massive chore probably due to the fact I have been doing these long winded articles for the past 9 months. I completely forgot the fact that I am not even a year into this, so it’s kinda funny.
