Okay. Before I start my rambling session, I will mention this. I will never talk about Giulia in any way without mentioning the infamous… Shotaro clip. If you don’t know what Shotaro is, I recommend you find a 1 minute clip on YouTube of a young Japanese male being interviewed and his name is Shotaro. Donna Del Mondo reacted to that interview, which is the group Giulia founded and led at the time. The interviewer asked, “Who is your favourite wrestler?” Shotaro answered with Utami Hayashishita. Giulia reacted like a glitch in the matrix. Then the interviewer said, “Who is your favourite wrestler in Donna Del Mondo?” He said Giulia and went into detail as to why. Then the interviewer asked again, "Who is your favourite wrestler in STARDOM?” And he answered with… Utami Hayashishita. I was laughing my ass off and Giulia had the reaction of a woman who wanted to see her child. It was great.
Okay, back to the topic. When you see the title of this article, you will be very confused, so allow me to explain it to you. In 2021, Giulia and Syuri would be a tag team in the (now defunct) stable, Donna Del Mondo. They would be called Alto Livello KABALIWAN and they actually were able to capture the Goddesses Of Stardom Championship. That would happen at the Stardom Yokohama Dream Cinderella In Summer event where they defeated Mayu Iwatani & Koguma. According to Cagematch.net, the tag name is a combination of Italian and Central Philippine Tagalog. So the English translation of Atlo Livello KABALIWAN is… High Level Madness. I’m sorry, but that is 2+2= Potato in a good way.
This team would end in 2022 as Syuri went away from Donna Del Mondo to her own faction, God’s Eye. Which is crazy to think about the fact that it’s only been 3 years. There is a lot that I am unaware about, but it does lead to the match of this piece from that year’s Dream Queendom event. Before I get into it, I would like to mention that in Giulia’s last match from STARDOM is when she reunited Syuri for one last time against Mayu Iwatani & Hanan. That match would end in a time limit draw after 20 minutes.
In the present day (and at the time of writing), Syuri is recovering from an elbow injury and other long-term injuries as well. She will be doing an excursion overseas to improve her skills, like Konosuke Takeshita’s American Excursion in 2022 when he was in DDT. Giulia has been having loads of success on the SmackDown brand in WWE as she currently holds the WWE Women’s United States Championship and has a V1 in her defences.
So with that being said, in front of 3,869 in Ryogoku Sumo Hall. In the main event, it’s Syuri defending the World Of Stardom Championship against Giulia. Let’s roll with it.
These two start off with the most aggressive chain wrestling that I have ever seen. Especially when they start with the Collar and Elbow tie up, they are tussling at each other like bulls. Syuri sends Giulia into the corner, then Giulia blocks her incoming charge by using her legs. When Syuri tries again, Giulia sidesteps and does a side kick to her gut. These two were countering grapples, strikes & rollups, then they would stare at each other. We all know that when you stare at each other in pro wrestling, it’s super serious.
They go back to the chain wrestling, and Syuri slams Giulia down with a flapjack. Giulia would kick out after the half hatch from the corner, so Syuri transitioned into an armbar. Giulia managed to get to the ropes and scream, “REF! REF!” at Daichi. These two would have one of the many strike exchanges, and countered each other’s clothesline attempt. Syuri would use a double leg takedown and transition into the Ankle Lock. Giulia would get to the ropes and then somehow both of them get tangled into the ropes then they would… slap the shit out of each other.
On the apron, Giulia would slam Syuri with an amazing MK Northern Lights Suplex on the hardest part of the ring. As they were up the ramp, Syuri would get out of the backdrop suplex and dropkick Giulia. She would tell a part of the crowd to move away as she tried the roundhouse kick. Giulia decides to pull off this counter as she grabs Syuri’s roundhouse attempt and immediately tosses her with an Exploder Suplex on the empty seats where the fans moved. This was one of the most crazy counters I’ve ever seen and I was hooked like I’m a prostitute. Giulia would drag Syuri to ringside as she removed items from the table where Rossy Ogawa was sitting. She would attempt a piledriver on the table which had always been a stable of hers before she got to WWE, but Syuri reverses it into her own piledriver, sending Giulia crashing to the table.
Back in the ring, Syuri hits a top rope legdrop for a two count. After Giulia got out of an armbar and started trading German Suplexes until they both collapsed on the mat. They both slap each other again as they start trading… Heel Hooks… yeah. Giulia was having the advantage even after Syuri was slapping her, but Syuri managed to get to the ropes. Giulia started slapping and kicking her like she is a bully you want to beat up. As Giulia was on the top rope, Syuri quickly got up and slammed her with an arm wrench suplex. Then she transitioned into an Armbar, into the modified one, the Scarlet Bird, but Giulia got to the ropes.
Syuri would continue to kick her like she is the bully. Well, I can’t blame her, turnabout fair play. Some of these kicks will make your back break into a little dance. Giulia would counter the roundhouse into an exploder suplex, but Syuri comes right back with a brutal roundhouse kick. Giulia looked like her soul left her body. Since she was laid out, Daichi Murayama would do a down count for Giulia. She gets up before the count of 10 as Syuri quickly grabs her and crushes her with the Red Death (Firewoman’s Carry into a Double Knee Gutbuster). Giulia kicked out and reversed the Syuri World into the Most Devastating Move in All Of Sports Entertainment, the Surprise Rollup and it sadly didn’t work. After hitting a backdrop suplex, Syuri would reverse the Falcon Arrow attempt by Giulia to use the Red Death again. This time Giulia would reverse that into a DDT and follow up with the Falcon Arrow. Syuri used the momentum Giulia had into another rollup and it sadly didn’t work again.
Syuri would escape the Glorious Driver (Arm Trap Sitout Tombstone Piledriver) to hit Giulia with a German Suplex for a two count. After another rollup attempt, Giuilia would drill her with Glorious Driver and Syuri kicks out. Syuri was also able to kick out of Giulia's Northern Lights Bomb. Giulia tries to punt her, but Syuri moves her head and pounces with a backstabber. After Syuri would hit her knee strike as Giulia was against the ropes, she would go up to the top for a probable flying nothing. As Giulia tries to take her out, Syuri would do SHOOT headbutt and Giulia crumples to the mat. Somehow Giulia got up immediately and dropkicked Syuri to the apron. Syuri follows up with a roundhouse kick and another kick right to the head.
Giulia would go to the rope to hit Syuri with another SHOOT headbutt and follow up with an underhook suplex from the top rope. Giulia would try the Glorious Driver again, but Syuri reverses it into her own Glorious Driver. Giulia would kick out and take the page out of Syuri’s book and slammed her down with the Flow Flame (Delayed sitout side powerslam) and that was a two count. They both kick each other in the face, then Syuri would follow up with the Flow Flame for a big two count. Syuri attempted the Syuri World and that was also a two count. Giulia tried to come back with a Modified Surprise Rollup for a two count.
Syuri was getting frustrated so she attempted a Top Rope Syuri World, but Giulia would escape and powerbomb’ed her. Giulia would eventually slam her with the Glorious Buster and then hit a Running Powerbomb for the two count. She would absolutely rock Syuri with the Arrivederci (Knee Strike) and hit a Package Piledriver. Syuri kicked out and countered a Northern Lights Bomb into a Lawn Dart and transitioned into a Straight Jacket German Suplex for a two count. These two were slapping each other AGAIN and Giulia rocked her with a strike that will shock your brain. Giulia would not only hit one Northern Lights Bomb, but a Modified Northern Lights Bomb to get the 1, 2, 3 and become the brand new World Of Stardom Champion.

Post Match Ramble
Okay. Two of my fingers and half of my right hand are very numb by doing this one and I have to do this with my remaining 8 fingers, but I’ll be okay. Anyway, this was incredible and it’s one of those matches that make me feel like on another planet. Giulia and Syuri have similar styles in their moveset with some differences of course.
